DVB-Tech announced today that it has just completed the signing of an agreement with Turkish defense company ASELSAN for the supply of Low Loss Associated High Power X-Band Combiners.

 

DVB-Tech was awarded this project due to product performance and full technical compliance with the requirements, providing a feature rich and flexible solution for the long term.

 

Initial deliveries of the equipment are expected to begin during the second quarter of year 2021.

DVB-Tech was recently awarded a contract from a U.S. Federal Government Contractor for design and manufacturing of new geration UHF / VHF SATCOM DAMA SSPA’s for Military Aviation.

 

Initial deliveries of the equipment are expected to begin during the third quarter of year 2021.

DVB-Tech Awarded Contract for Supply of High Power S-Band GaN SSPA Systems for INVAP’s RADAR Programs.

DVB-Tech has signed a new contract with Argentinian Company INVAP for the supply of high power S-Band GaN Solid State Power Amplifier systems for their latest radar programs.

 

INVAP's Defense and Security VP, Darío Giussi, and DVB-Tech's Chief Executive Officer, Arthur Markaryan, sealed the agreement remotely, due to the travel restrictions caused by COVID-19.

 

This is the first of the contracts that DVB-Tech expects to be awarded non only during the construction phase of this project but also on long-term perspective.

DVB-Tech informs that the production activity is open, although at a reduced operation. In order to guarantee health and safety conditions, DVB-Tech has put in place actions such as disinfection of the facitilies, reduced personnel on distinct work shifts and physical protections for all operators. Offices activity will continue regularly, trough smart working, supporting all partners and customers.

Ka-Band 32-36 GHz GaN 250W Pulse SSPA

DVB-Tech GaN based Ka-band Pulse Solid State Power Amplifier (SSPA) was designed to operate as the final amplification stage in a system. The highly  efficient design is the ideal replacement for TWT amplifiers used in electronic warfare (EW), RADAR and SATCOM applications. It offers up to 250W of saturated power across a 32 to 36 GHz frequency band with maximum reliability and long service life.
 
The pulse amplifier is a field replaceable system component, which includes an integrated AC/DC power supply. The amplifier is designed for indoor or outdoor installation as all of its components are enclosed in a corrosion resistant weatherproof enclosure. The amplifier includes variable speed fans which force ambient air across the amplifier heat sink. Fan speed increases/decreases as the amplifier temprature increases/decreases. 
 
The pulse amplifier operates as a constant gain block; it can provide up to 54 dBm pulse RF output power with a minimum gain of 55dB. Under normal operating conditions, with an input power level of 0 dBm, the pulse output power level of the amplifier is approximately 54.0dBm.

New 20kW S-Band 3.1-3.3 and 3.1-3.5 GHz GaN Pulse SSPA System for SATCOM and RADAR Applications

DVB-Tech GaN based S-band Pulse Solid State Power Amplifier System. The highly  efficient design is the ideal replacement for TWT amplifiers used in electronic warfare (EW), RADAR and SATCOM applications. It offers 20kW of saturated power across a 3.1 to 3.3 (optionally 3.1 to 3.5) GHz frequency band with maximum reliability and long service life.
 
The modular design includes eighteen (18) how-swappable SSPA modules in N+1 soft fail configuration; the loss of one (1) SSPA module will not result in an output power level degradation, the loss of second (2) will result not less then 15kW in an output power level degradation.  Passive combining/switching is employed to avoid RF output power interruptions.  A redundant AC/DC power supply system with hot-swappable modules is also included.
 
The SSPA system also features a number of monitoring and self-protection circuits including input overdrive, forward power, reflected power, high pulse width, high PRF and over temperature. Additionally, the system is equiped with an output waveguide isolator. 

 

The system controller provides a user friendly interface for monitoring and control of the complete SSPA system as well as the individual SSPA modules.  A front panel display provides the user with local monitoring and control, while Ethernet and RS485 interfaces provide the user with local/remote monitoring and control via PC GUI, Web GUI and SNMP.
